Context

 TASO has implemented community drug distribution points (CDDPs) in Jinja, Uganda. Clients collect 2-3-month ART refills from ART distribution points at community locations serviced by counsellors with support from expert patients and community health workers. A clinical outreach team from the facility does 6-monthly clinical assessments at the CDDP location. Clients and group leaders of community client-led ART delivery (CCLAD) peer support groups are allowed to collect ART refills from the CDDP. 

Who is eligible for this model?

On ART >6 months, clinically stable, adherence >95%, disclosure to friend/relative
(specifically excluded: children, pregnant and breastfeeding women, TB/HIV co-infected clients, severe other chronic conditions)
