Context

Streamlined care for children has been implemented at study sites in rural Uganda and Kenya.  HIV management and ART delivery is streamlined for children with same day or next day ART start at first linkage to clinic, scheduled appointments, appointment reminders, tiered nurse-driven visits and referring complex cases to a doctor. Three-month ART refills were provided. Structured viral load education provided with VL taken at ART initiation, 6-months and annually thereafter.

2-14 years, not on ART, CD4>500
