A one-size-fits-all model of HIV services does not work for all 37 million people living with HIV today. Differentiated care is a responsive, client-centred approach that simplifies and adapts HIV services across the cascade to better serve individual needs and reduce unnecessary burdens on the health system. More countries are revising their service delivery models and recognizing that it is time to deliver differently.
